PIGEONS - fun performance poetry idea

Here is a poem that I think would work really well in performance, lending itself to multiple voices and actions. It is pretty silly, containing as it does the 'P' word. I am not one of those poets who is content with getting cheap, scatological laughs from children, but every once in a while it can surely be a bit of fun. Like eating junk food I guess. Anyway, here goes. Get kids into groups and challenge them to come up with a funny, creative performance:

Pigeons!

Pigeons! on the pavement
Pigeons! in the sky
Pigeons! in the garden
Pigeons! going by
Pigeons! flapping wings and
Pigeons! pecking bread
Pigeons! in conspiracy
Pigeons! overhead

Wherever you go
and whatever you do,
better watch out
it’s PIGEON POO!

Pigeons! on the street and
Pigeons! in the square
Pigeons! over here and
Pigeons! over there
Pigeons! in the muck and
Pigeons! in the bin
Pigeons! with a smirk and
Pigeons! with a grin

Wherever you go...

Pigeons! in the rain and
Pigeons! in the sun
Pigeons! being nasty
Pigeons! having fun
Pigeons! at the window
Pigeons! in the trees
Pigeons! with the lurgy
Pigeons! with d i s e a s e

Wherever you go...
